This is one of the simplest ways to solve most of the crack issues that you could have in an asphalt surface. We offer it because it is very efficient. We are able to get through it fairly quickly. That is always going to be a positive no matter how you are looking at it. That being said, we do have to admit that it has its limitations. Not all of the issues that you are going to come across are going to be able to be solved by just filling up the cracks. That is why we always start with this next process!
Assessing The Damage
The first thing that we need to do before we tell you that we are going to be able to do this and that is asses the damages. From there then we will be able to really give you a set of options on what we can do next. Most of the cracks that we are going to be able to work on tend to be not that extensive. They are usually going to be minor issues that have just recently formed. Those are just some of the general rules though.
What Are We Filling Them With?
This is actually a good question. Most of the times we will be filling with more asphalt that we are then going to need to compact. This is a process though that we believe has to be done extra carefully. The last thing that we want is for your driveway or your road to look like it has just been patched up without any real care. When we actually decide that this is the best course of action we do so after going through a pretty extensive assessment of the situation.
Is This A Quick Job?
For the most part, we would say that it is. Once we have determined that the best thing that we can do is to go ahead and fill up the cracks we can get right to it. We will be done fairly quickly and usually, we are going to tell you to stay off the area for around 12 to 24 hours ideally. As far as the time that we are actually going to be spending on your property it can be just a couple of hours. That is actually if we are filling up multiple cracks. Now that you know this, we would like to say that it is important to take care of these issues fairly quickly.
More Extensive Repairs
We have talked about this as well. We are not just going to be ok with repairing a couple of cracks when we know that there is a greater issue at hand. This is a dilemma though that a lot of companies and people have. Do you go with the large repair now or stay with the quick one and hope it lasts. The best thing that we can do is provide you with our input on the situation and help you make that decision!
